Artemisia vulgaris is a perennial plant, used in many ancient cultures as a tea, smudge sticks and flavouring in beer, before hops were used. 

Its name originated from the Olympian goddess Artemis who was the guardian of hunting, the moon and fertility. 

Traditionally, Mugwort was used to treat indigestion, improve blood circulation and relieve abdominal cramps. 

It is also used to treat eczema and psoriasis to soothe and reduce redness. 

Recently, Mugwort is gaining in popularity in various skin care products due to it ability to brighten skin and antioxidation, 

anti-inflammation and antibacterial properties.
