Seaweeds such as channelled wrack, spiral wrack, and laver grow in upper shore grow around the high water mark on rocky shores, accompanied by small periwinkles, barnacles and limpets. Species grown here must survive severe temperature changes and desiccation as the area is not submerged for a long time. Thus, they are very tolerant of desiccation and can survive out of the water for long periods.
These properties transfer to our complex made with three natural Scottish origin upper shore seaweeds, which are found to have excellent anti-oxidation, anti-wrinkle, and anti-allergy effects.
